This is the most fabulous 18ct Gold Victorian, lover's knot ring. It features three sparkling old cut diamonds set across the centre of this substantial ring, and alternating engraved and plain gold knot folds which create some lovely texture.
The three diamonds spread over the gallery are in starburst settings and are completely secure, making this ring safe for every day wear.
This romantic ring remains in excellent condition and is hallmarked for 18ct Gold, London and the year, 1918. The gallery measures 1 cm x 2.5cm and the band measures 5mm at its thinnest part. It weighs a heavy 7.37g and is a UK size N, which is a US size 6 3/4. It could be re-sized a little way up or down.
Antique lover's knot rings date back to the early 20th century and as they become rarer, they are very sought after. They are steeped in sentimentality with the knot symbolising two people entwined for eternity; hence why they are often given as romantic tokens or as eternity rings.
This is such a lovely example of antique sweetheart jewellery; it would be a wonderful romantic gift, or a fabulous addition to any collection.
