An exquisite antique Victorian mourning locket from the late 19^th Century fashioned in a rosy 18ct gold gilt metal and decorated with chased patterning and a line of turquoise across the centre which were a symbol of love and remembrance in the Victorian era.

It’s been beautifully preserved and is complete with a lock of black hair inside that most likely belonged to the lady in the accompanying photograph who may have been the wife or mother of the original owner and was clearly very dear to them.
